He is survived by : his children, Donald Ray Gholson (Star), Junior of Grosse Tete, Louisiana, Teresa Bonney (Randy) of Hurst, Nanette Edwards (KJ) of Morgan, Denise Wallenhurst of Weatherford and Emily Rutledge (Dennis) of Bedford, Texas; and his siblings, Charles David Gholson (Linda) of Lake Fork, Darrell Lynn Nulisch of Gloucester, Massachusetts and Darlene Oppelt of Dallas. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, two aunts and three uncles.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Restland Funeral Home (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243). A burial will be held on Monday, January 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Restland Memorial Park (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243).
