He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Ann Austin; his parents, Anne Mae Miculka and Dewey Cordell Austin; his stepfather Walter Bennet; his daughter Cindy Brown; his grandson Cody Jon Maddox; and his siblings, Thomas Cordell Austin, Grace Arlene Sanders (Russell Louis Sanders, Jr.) and Jacqueline Marion Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Blevins (Terri), Larry Blevins, Jeff Blevins, Michael Austin (Cindi), Suzanne Austin, Tom Austin (Donna) and David Austin; and his sister-in-law Terry Perry Austin. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waller-Thornton Funeral Home - Trinity (203 San Jacinto St, Trinity, TX 75862). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Methodist Church (2341 FM 980, Huntsville, TX 77320).
