With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Victoria S. Martinez of McAllen, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 15, 2025 at the age of 86. In the sacred silence of farewell, Victoria is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Victoria's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Cipriano Martinez Rios; and her son Gerardo Martinez. She is survived by: her children, Mario Martinez, San Juanita San Miguel (Antonio), Regulo Martinez (Maria), Reynol Martinez (Mary), Zulema Garcia (Homero) and Cipriano Martinez Jr. (Irais). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rivera Funeral Home - McAllen (1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501). A rosary will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 9:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Valley Memorial Gardens of Mission (3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
