We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2025, Julia Malone Ross Fortenberry of Lone Oak, Texas, born in El Paso, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Scott and Ruby Lee Garner Ross; her husband James Fortenberry; her brothers, Ben Ray Ross and John Lee Ross; and her son-in-law Wayne Blount.
She is survived by: her children, James M. Fortenberry, Jr. (Leah) of Lone Oak, Jennifer Lynn Blount of Denison and Julie Ann Myers (Ray) of Plano; her grandchildren, Jill Bergin (Chris), Anna Petty (Robert), Katie Blount, John Ross Myers, Drew Myers (Natalie), Brooke Rich (Seth), Maggie Fortenberry and Jenna Fortenberry; and her great grandchildren, Anderson, Madelyn, Tori, Nick and Ellie. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lone Oak Baptist Church (203 Mc Bride St, Lone Oak, TX 75453). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at the Hooker Ridge Cemetery.
