He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie B. Nunez and Consuela M. Nunez; and his great grandchild Mia Jordan. He is survived by: his wife Karen S. Nunez; his children, Linda Salas (Mark), Edward Nunez, Jr., Rachael King, Sandra Fabian-Ramirez (Jesse) and Cecilio Fabian III; his brother Ben Nunez (Isabel); and his sibling's children, Cyndi Nunez Allen (Dan) and Isaac Nunez (Crystal). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home - South Side (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Assumption Cemetery (3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704).
