It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine (Mitchell) Ernest (Irving, Texas), who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilson Mitchell and Bessie Mitchell (McDonald); her husband Jerry; and her siblings, Albert, Ronald and Alice.
She is survived by: her daughters, Leslie Horsman (Robert) and Maureen Baxter (James); her grandsons, Nick Baxter, Connor Baxter (Elizabeth) and Branson Horsman (Emma Nelson); her great grandchild Hudson David Baxter; and her brother Steven Mitchell.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Plymouth Park United Methodist Church (1617 W Airport Fwy, Irving, TX 75062). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
