John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Garrison and Jo Dorothy Grizzle Garrison; and his brother Reginald Garrison. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Garrison; his children, Wendy Annette Garrison Stephens (Evan Trice) of Princeton, Texas and Gregory Dean Garrison (Tabatha Garrison) of Fort Worth, Texas; his granddaughter Samantha Garrison; and his siblings, Joe Garrison of Garland, Texas and Sharon Shannon of Arlington, Texas. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Breyley Room - Mount Olivet Chapel (2301 N Sylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76111). A celebration of life was held on Monday, June 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cross Church (6955 Blvd 26, North Richland Hills, TX 76180).
