It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward J. Colella of Auburn, New York, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Philomena Colella and Tomaso Colella; his wife Stella; and his siblings, Mary Triola, Yola Caci, Eleanor Liseno, Domenic Colella, Louis Colella and Alan Colella (Lem).
He is survived by : his children, Edward Colella (Tina) of Auburn, Thomas Colella (Margaret) of Weedsport and Cindy Colella of Auburn; his grandchildren, Matthew Colella of Auburn, Marlana Colella (Lee) of Nashville, Kenneth Colella (Alize) of Buffalo and Khaleel Zughbieh; his great grandchild Rosemary Colella; his brothers, Raymond Colella of Prosser, WA and Albert Colella of Auburn; and his sister-in-law Florence Jurczak (Peter) of Auburn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heieck-Pelc Funeral Home (48 South St, Auburn, NY 13021). A mass of christian burial will be held on Monday, January 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Hyacinth Church (63 Pulaski St, Auburn, NY 13021).
