With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenwood Benjamin Halcus of Syracuse, New York, born in North Rose, New York, who passed away on January 14, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, George Halcus and Georgia Dunbar Halcus; his wives, Margaret Kelley Halcus and Carol Reed Halcus; his sons, Barry Halcus, William Chadwick and David Halcus; and his sons-in-law, Gene Addison and David Garcia.
He is survived by : his children, Glenwood Halcus (Sheri) of Florida, James Powell (Lisa) of Syracuse Ronald, Richard Lape of Camillus and Carol Addison of Lyons; and his step-children, Marvin Reed (Ann) and Rose. He is also survived by forty-three grandchildren; fifty-two great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Life Assembly of God (7608 NY-31, Lyons, NY 14489). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Rd, Lyons, NY 14489.
