It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Glenna Ferris (Avon, Connecticut), who passed away, on March 26, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Sanborn and Mildred Sanborn (Littlefield); her husband Roy Ferris; her sister Joyce Zee (Steve); her siblings-in-law, Ray (Roberta), Cameron McClellan, Barbara White (John) and Kay Dorn (David); her nephews, Martin Dorn and Paul Dorn; and her niece Linda White.
She is survived by: her children, Sandy, Alan Ferris, David Ferris and Sandra (Richard Lytle); her grandchildren, Kristin, Travis (Kimberly), Eric (Sarah), Ken (Leyla) and Scott (Arlene); her great grandchildren, Colby, Natalie, Talia, Ashley, Kenan and Brooks; and her brothers-in-law, William (Carol), Richard (Peggy) and Shirley McClellan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Avon Congregational Church (6 W Main St, Avon, CT 06001). She lived independently at Middlewoods of Farmington, thoroughly enjoying the programming, out trips and companionship until Covid. During the pandemic, she moved in with her daughter, Sandy, and husband and at the age of 99, she moved into Cherry Brook Health Care Center.
