He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriet Ciecko (Badaszek) and Laddie Ryniec; his sisters, Donna Ryniec and Diane Johnson; his former wife Vee Baniqued; his children, Robin Sulaitis (Ed), Rick Ryniec (Nancy) and Lee Dummler (David); and his grandchildren, Duncan, Sara Ryniec, Katherine and Edward Sulaitis.
He is survived by: his siblings, David Ryniec (Pamm), Nancy Guzier (Jim), Karen Spickerman (Gary), Allen Ryniec (Donna) and Andru Ryniec (Robin); his wife Judy Fraser; his sons, John (Tammi) and Jeff Fraser; and his grandchildren, Griffin, Emma and Jack. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Morgan Memorial (1304 Regency Dr W, Savoy, IL 61874). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (1303 Lincolnshire Dr, Champaign, IL 61821).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Fighting Illini Dugout Club or ALS Association in Lou's name.
