It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlos Martinez of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Martinez and Evelyn Martinez (Delgado); and his brother-in-law Hari Singh. He is survived by : his partner Lavetta Ricca; his children, Mark Martinez (Shari) of Champaign, IL, Carla Longfellow (Kevin) of Washington, IL and Michael Martinez (Amy) of Sadorus, IL; and his sisters, Georgia Schumaker (Bob) of Spokane, WA and Amelia Singh of Daly City, CA.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Wright & Salmon Mortuary (2416 North North Street, Peoria, IL 61604). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's' Research Hospital.
