With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry W. Ellis of Charleston, Illinois, born in Pittsburg, Kansas, who passed away on January 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur George and Etta Leona Ellis (Butler); and his brother Homer Ellis of Pittsburg, KS.. He is survived by : his wife Carol Ellis of Charleston, IL; his children, Joi Lynn Owen (Wallace K. Owen Jr.) of Neoga, IL, Jerry Lee Ellis (Cynthia Cobb) of Rantoul, IL, Jamie Addams (Jon Montgomery) of Bartlett, IL and Mike Addams (Allyson) of Charleston, IL; his grandchildren, Ruby Jane Addams Montgomery of Bartlett, IL and Ember Elaine Addams of Charleston, IL; his sister-in-law Peggy Gire (Dann); and his nieces and nephews, Vicki Henderson, Kelly Ellis, Jeff Ellis, Lauren Gire and Morgan Gire.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Chapel (2330 Shawnee Dr, Charleston, IL 61920). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
