She was predeceased by : her parents, John Schurr and Frances Peterson (Curtis); her step-father Hebert Peterson; and her siblings, Carl Shurr, Marjorie Kiser and Martha Cordes.
She is survived by : her children, Scott Foster (Lisa) of Paris, Brad Foster (Jeannie) of Sidell, Illinois, Janette Thompson (Jeff) of Grimes, Sarah Mason (Jad) of Murfreesboro, Jennifer Larson (Andy) of Savoy and Amy Foote (Jim) of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois; and her siblings, Bob Shurr of Danville, Illinois, Ruth Pancoast (Fred) of Danville, Mary Jane Johnson (Rich) of Joliet, Linda Pyles of Collinsville and Carol Deeken (Dan) of Franklin, Indiana. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Templeton Funeral Home - Paris (600 E Court St, Paris, IL 61944). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (211 Center St, Hume, IL 61932).
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society for multiple myeloma research or to St. Michael's Catholic Church of Hume or to the charity of the donor's choice.
