She was predeceased by : her parents, James Franklin "Frank" and Mildred Castor (Armstrong); her husband Phillip H. Brown; her siblings, Russell Castor and Phyllis Crooks; her daughter Kathleen Simmons (James); and her great grandchild Chase Yets.
She is survived by : her daughters, Karen Ward (James), Rebecca Smith (Charles) and Paula Lee; her grandchildren, Melinda Bickers, Melissa Yets, Melanie Catalano, Phillip Moore, Laura Collier, Andrew Bright, Samuel Lee and Anna Lee; and her sister Carolyn McGaughey. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center Champaign-Urbana Chapel (710 N Neil St, Champaign, IL 61820). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made in Lola's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
