We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2024, at the age of 96, Helen M. Collins of Plano, Illinois, born in Champaign, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Oliver Ticer and Helen Ticer (Mesnard); her son Michael Barry; her brother Sydney Ticer; her niece Jean Ticer; and her nephew Chris Detoni.
She is survived by : her husband George Lee Collins; her sons, Tim Barry and Darrell Collins; her daughter-in-law Cathy Barry; her grandchildren, Melissa Barry, Allison Barry-Balt, Steve Barry, Ryan Barry, Kevin Barry, Claire Collins (Tyler Farnsworth) and Olivia Collins (Matt Schlipper); her great grandchildren, Jake Herman, Michelle Bywater, Breanna Marie and Dean Schlipper; her great great grandchildren, Dean, Maverick, Emily, Seth, Elora, Levi and Kaleb; her brother Bob Ticer (Jackie); and her nieces and nephews, Carol Staup, Pam Johnson (Tim), Gary Ticer, Bruce Ticer, Robert Ticer and Robyn Ticer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home - Plano (3952 Turner Ave, Plano, IL 60545). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lincoln Memorial Park (675 US-30, Oswego, IL 60503).
