It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Stevenson Jr. of Champaign, Illinois, born in Darby, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Stevenson and Gladys Stevenson Sr. (Nagle); his son Jeff Stevenson; and his son-in-law Barry Pankonin. He is survived by : his children, Scott Stevenson (Jeremy Burmeister), April Drummond (Charlie), Katie Bermingham (Ben), Todd Cannaday (Kris Ann) and Amy Keirstead (Brett); his daughter-in-law Alison Stevenson; and his grandchildren, Shane, Tyler Stevenson, Hudson Drummond, Joanna, William Bermingham, Ty Cannaday, Taylor Bowman, Hannah Wargo, Morgan Keirstead and Eli Keirstead.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Stevenson Residence (2301 Valley Brook Dr, Champaign, IL 61822). Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kruger Funeral Home (10 E Williams St, Danville, IL 61832). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Kruger Funeral Home & Crematory (10 E Williams St, Danville, IL 61832).
John loved flowers so floral arrangements are welcome, but should you wish to make a Memorial Donation, he was an avid supporter of University of Illinois Athletic Programs.
