He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Matthews and Ardith Matthews; and his sister Jan. He is survived by : his wife Kari; his children, Samuel Blaise, Daniel MacCrea and Mary-Audrey Lucia; and his aunt Eileen Barfknecht (Charles). He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews, and two great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (444 E Main St, Danville, IL 61832). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Bruce's memory to either Iroquois Memorial Hospice in Watseka or Family Service in Champaign, which offers services to dementia patients and their families in East-Central Illinois.
