She was predeceased by: her parents, Stoffer Frerichs and Grace Frerichs (Meier); her husband Jack Pierce; her children, Kenneth Pierce and Linda; and her sister Marilynn Sage.
She is survived by: her son Edward Pierce (Heather); her granddaughters, Lacie Douglas (Cory) and Erica Pierce; her great grandchildren, Eric, Dominic, Trey and Drake; her sister Debbie Huls; and her sister-in-law Ruth Pierce. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (2101 S Prospect Ave, Champaign, IL 61820). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Wilma experienced macular degeneration in her later years and requests memorial donations be made to PACE, Inc., a non-profit disability service organization covering Champaign, Douglas, Edgar, Piatt, and Vermilion counties.
