With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert John Salika of Monticello, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 10, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Robert departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Robert leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Francis and Margaret Josephine Salika (Hussbauer); and his brother Leonard Eugene Salika. He is survived by: his sisters, Lucille Marie Salika of Urbana and Catherine Irene Salika of Urbana.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (708 West Main Street Parking on north side of Chuch enter off of Coler Ave. or, N Busey Ave, Urbana, IL 61801). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
