It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruthann Shurts of Urbana, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Ruthann farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ruthann is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Robinson and Dorothy Robinson (Lovelass); and her siblings, Wayne, Howard, Dwight Robinson, Jean Turner and Barbara Forbes.
She is survived by: her sister Betty Campbell of Houston. She is also survived by extended family including fifteen nieces and nephews, nineteen great-nieces and nephews, and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kansas United Methodist Church (200 Buena Vista St, Kansas, IL 61933). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
For those who wish, the family suggests memorials be made to Urbana First United Methodist Church, Urbana, Illinois, where Ruthann regularly attended church.
