He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Shipp and Helen Shipp (Butefish). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Shipp (Pricer); his children, Kate Sanders (Steve) of Quincy and Bruce Shipp (June) of Poplar Grove, IL; his grandsons, David Stegeman (Beth) of Chicago, IL, Zachary Shipp of Roscoe, IL, Alexander Shipp (Sierra) of Greenville, SC and Stephenie Banks of Urbana, IL; and his great grandchildren, Kamylle Banks, Trinity Banks and Tirana Banks.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Peter (2600 Maine St, Quincy, IL 62301).
