It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Karcher of White Heath, Illinois, born in Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Karcher and Nellie Karcher (Vollmer); his siblings, Magaret Roellig and Paul Karcher; and his son-in-law Randy Auteberry.
He is survived by: his wife Michele Karcher; his daughters, Suzy Shaw (Ron), Mindy Ward (Greg), Brandy Sherrick (Steve Price) and Stephanie Ramirez (Armando); and his grandchildren, Rachel Huling, Olivia Jackson, Connor Auteberry, Jasmine Thompson, Xander Ramthun, Nellie Sherrick, Jackson Sherrick and Breahna Ramirez. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home (215 E Washington St, Monticello, IL 61856). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
