She was predeceased by: her mother Marilyn Nieder (Mullins); and her siblings, Don Nieder and Meghan Nieder. She is survived by: her father James Nieder; her children, Mathew Atkins of Champaign, Illinois and Michelle Shrum (Joel) of Kingston Springs, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Hazel Atkins, June Atkins, Thomas Shrum and Lewis Shrum; her parents-in-law, Aaron Thomas of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Rosemary Atkins of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and her siblings, Chris Vaughn (Rosanna) of Chandler, Texas, Gina Vaughn-LeGrand (Darryl) of Cape Girardeau, Cathy AlSamaraiy (Aiman) of Saint Louis and Lisa.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newell Funeral Home (601 S 42nd St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Cindia's honor to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital or Knob Prairie Cemetery.
