She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Berlin and Anna Berlin; her husband Frederick Nietfeldt (Fritz); and her son James Nietfeldt (Stacy) of Manhattan. She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Boehm (John) of Homewood, JoAnn Hess (Mark) of Bradley, Jerri Schell (William) of Spencerville, MD and Jacqueline Newman (Karl) of Champaign; and her grandchildren, Katelyn Krabbe (Phillip), Krista Tenclay (Max), Karyn, Kimberley Boehm, Daniel (Kira), Jill, Claire Hess, Kurtis (Michelle), Eric Schell (Casey), Lisa Baker (Ryan), Tayler Cross (Andrew), Evan Nietfeldt (Tessa), Andrew (Sarah), Emma and Hannah Newman. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church (4231 183rd St, Country Club Hills, IL 60478). A burial will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Lutheran Cemetery (4330 180th St, Country Club Hills, IL 60478).
