She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Schluter and Elfrieda Hesterberg Schluter; her husband Alvin Hoveln of Paul's Lutheran Church; her son Steve Hoveln; her brother Lawrence Schluter; and her half-brother Henry Schluter.
She is survived by: her sons, Ron Hoveln (Sarah) of Syracuse and David Hoveln (Karla) of Clayton, Delaware; her daughter-in-law Marie Hoveln of San Diego, California; her grandchildren, Julie Hoveln, Jason Hoveln (Stacey), Victoria Almond (Matt), Joshua Hoveln (Brittany) and Colin Hoveln (Kelsey); and her siblings, Evelyn Miller (Larry), Alvin Schluter (Evelyn) and Marvin Schluter. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (108 E Church St, Gifford, IL 61847). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
