He is survived by: his wife Anna Mae Stewart (Smith); his children, Deborah Stewart of Champaign, David (J. D. Stewart, Jr.) and Kim of Casper; his grandchildren, Rachel McPheters (Kelly), Sarah Laufersweiler (Peter), Andrew Stewart (Kiersten), Charles Stewart, Ian Anderson, Lisa Stewart and Emily Stewart; and his great grandchildren, Logan, William, David Laufersweiler, Grace and Claire McPheters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Paul United Methodist Church (10 N Center St, East Alton, IL 62024). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
