With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Holverson of Rantoul, Illinois, who passed away on July 6, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mary Ellen has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl A. Ayers and Ruby Emerson Ayers; and her brother James Ayers. She is survived by: her husband Don; her daughters, Dawn Reneé Steepleton (Jon) of Paxton, Amy Lynn Arnone (Joseph) of Cabot, Kimberly Gayle Kaiser (David) of Rantoul and Martha Kay Guerard (James) of Gresham, Oregon; and her brothers, Michael Ayers (Martha) of Rantoul and Gregory Ayers of Champaign. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Harvest Church (2118 Cindy Lynn St, Urbana, IL 61801).
