Though Dortha may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dortha touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard "Pete" Fleenor and Marion Fleenor; and her brother Edward Fleener. She is survived by: her husband Lee Elwood Garrett; and her children, Mike Garrett (Debbie), Keith Garrett (Sheila) and Lynda Boyd (Daniel Joseph). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Morgan Memorial (1304 Regency Dr W, Savoy, IL 61874).
The family requests that instead of flowers, a contribution to the charity of your choice be made in Dottie's name.
