He was predeceased by: his sister Linda Medrow; and his daughter Melissa Wyninger. He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Golden of Acworth, GA, David Wyninger of Gambrills, MD and Steve Prestin of Urbana; his son Rick Wyninger (Holly); and his grandson Max Wyninger of Champaign.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Owens Funeral Home (101 N Elm St, Champaign, IL 61820). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Patricks Catholic Church (708 W Main St, Urbana, IL 61801).
His contributions to the Elks resulted in increased donations to the Elks Children's Care Corporation, a charity close to his heart.
