We bid farewell to Daniel C. Daugherity of Paxton, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 11, 2025 at the age of 82. Daniel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wallace and Glenda Mae Riordan Daugherity; his son Devin Daugherity; and his brothers, Kerry and Kevin Daugherity.
He is survived by: his children, Lance Daugherity (Amanda) of Summerville, Dawn Young (Marazette) of Champaign, Amy Daniels (Lane) of Paxton, Dana Daugherity of Champaign and Megan Daugherity of Paxton; his grandchildren, Tyler Griffin, Austin Daugherity, Aubrey Daniels, Alaina Daugherity, Landon Daniels, Ashanti Parker, Ayden Daugherity, Andrew Daugherity, Taylor Daniels, Lauren Daniels and Porter Loos; his great grandchildren, Braiden, Dallas and Brooklynn; his former wife Saundra Daugherity of Decatur; and his siblings, Denise Devine (John) of Geneva, Shawna Gerstein (Robert) of Vernon Hills, Illinois, Eugene Daugherity (Caroline) of Ottawa, Shayne Daugherity (Lawrence Dever) of Chicago and Dale Daugherity (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Baier Family Funeral Services (406 E Pells St, Paxton, IL 60957). Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (407 W Pells St, Paxton, IL 60957).
Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Paxton, the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
