It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Elizabeth T. Wilkins of Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eufemio and Benita; and her sister Cecilia Talavera-Singh. She is survived by: her husband Daniel Wilkins; her children, Lowell Dizon (Audrey), Christian Dizon and Clarissa (Javier Ayala); her sister Lucia Talavera; and her stepmother Rosita.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heath & Vaughn Funeral Home (201 N Elm St, Champaign, IL 61820). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (405 W Clark St, Champaign, IL 61820). A burial will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
