He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cooke, and Elvira Cooke, Sr. (Guliani); his wife Charlotte Ann Skinner; his sons-in-law, Greg VanBuren and Lee Duprey; his granddaughter Emily Bledsoe; his great grandchild Hannah Nicole Winters; his siblings, Alex Cooke, Louie Cooke, Louise Pedigo and Leona Payne; and his close friend Bob Deck.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Cooke (Bonnie) of Ridge Farm, Louise VanBuren of Danville, Lori Duprey of Danville and Lynn Nogoda (Jeff) of Bourbonnais, IL; his grandchildren, Amber Dawn Martinez (Kris) of Chrisman, Amy Nicole Freeland (Sam), TJ Cooke of Ridge Farm, Alex, John Duprey of Danville, Truli Gilespie, Duane Duprey of Danville and Ashley Doolittle (Cole) of Brookfield, WI; and his great grandchildren, Riley Freeland of Champaign, Willa Martinez of Chrisman and Reed Doolittle of Brookfield, WI.. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sunset Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Danville National Cemetery (1900 E Main St, Danville, IL 61832).
