He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Schirer and Ruth Schirer (Bean); and his brothers, Richard Schirer and Thomas Schirer. He is survived by: his wife Donna Schirer (Kavanaugh); his children, Jeremy Schirer (Yoko) and Julie Fountain (Brent); his sisters, Linda Schirer, Mary Schirer and Sandy Masiello (Rosario); his grandchildren, Toby Fountain (Sophie), Heidi Tutterow (Luke), Anderson Schirer and Emily Schirer; and his great grandchildren, Renley Fountain, Remington Fountain and Margaret Tutterow.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rosenbaum Funeral Home (925 IL-47, Gibson City, IL 60936). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
