She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Tillis; her daughter Saprena Tillis; her parents, Rody Poe, and Ernest Poe, Sr. (Rody Kirkland); her grandsons, Karendus Tillis and Jabriel Hicks; her great grandchild Ra'kiyah Watson; her siblings, Flora Poe, Jerome and Ernest Poe, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Banister and Robert Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Laquitta and Laquietta of Flint; her stepchildren, Janette Willis, Anthony, Jeffrey, Tyrone and Charlie Hicks, Jr. of Detroit, Mi.; her siblings, Martha Rankin, Orrie Dudley, David and Michael Poe; and her sisters-in-law, Early Collins and Eleanor Poe.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Chapel (1009 E Stewart Ave, Flint, MI 48505). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the 2nd Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (6046 Clio Rd, Mt Morris, MI 48458). A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gracelawn Cemetery (5710 Saginaw St, Flint, MI 48505). A reception will be held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the 2nd Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (6046 Clio Rd, Mt Morris, MI 48458).
