She was predeceased by : her parents, Antonio Santisteven and Carmelita Santisteven (Garcia); her husband Francisco Veliz; and her siblings, Eva Arellano, Louisa Mascarenas, Viola Casanova, Rosie Santisteven, Henry Santisteven, Richard Santisteven and Frances Medina.
She is survived by : her children, Josie Mireles of Grand Junction, Irene Robinson (Ernie) of Florida, Adolph Villagomez (Brenda Barbara), Roque Villagomez (Josie) of La Jara and Frank Veliz Jr. (LeeAnn Pacheco) of Alamosa; and her siblings, Esther Raya (Jose) of Alamosa and Joe Santisteven (Sandy) of Alamosa. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A rosary will be held on Friday, January 19th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (715 Fourth St, Alamosa, CO 81101). A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday, January 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
