It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Odelia M. Cortez of Denver, Colorado, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Santiago Martinez and Julia Martinez (Montoya); her children, Ronald and Yvonne (Frank Cortez); and her siblings, Leo, John, Jim, Joe, Daisy, Anna Mae and Debbie.
She is survived by : her children, Shirley, Frankie, Kathy, David (Betty), Melinda, Vivian (Julio) and Sherry; and her sisters, Lydia (Chris Aguirre) and Arlene Valverde. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (9371 Wigham St, Thornton, CO 80229). A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Olinger Highland Cemetery (10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229).
