He was predeceased by : his parents, Grant Mortensen and Louise Mortensen; and his wife Alice Rae Hutchins. He is survived by : his children, David Mortensen (Valorie) of Dolores, CO, Shane Mortensen (Jamie) of Sanford, CO, Lorin Mortensen (Rebecca) of Smithfield, UT and Keri Connolly (Sean); and his brothers, Bill Mortensen (Julie) of Sanford, CO, Carl Mortensen (Carlene) of Lubbock, TX and Lars Mortensen (Valorie) of Hyrum, UT. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Sanford First Ward the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (755 Main St, Sanford, CO 81151). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 18th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Sanford Cemetery (16783 Co Rd 19, Sanford, CO 81151).
