It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hollis Kellogg Jackson of Sterling, Colorado, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Harvey Jackson and Jennieve Marie Kellogg; his wife Ruth Dreier Jackson; his parent-in-law Emerit Dreier (Daisy); his brother James H. Jackson, Jr.; his daughter Joanie Jackson; and his siblings-in-law, Doug Dreier (Ruth), Wayne Dreier, Loren Dreier (Corinne) and Doris Houck (Dale).
He is survived by : his children, Susan Jackson of Sterling and Jim Jackson (Kelley) of Estes Park; his sisters-in-law, Eunice Dreier of Sterling and Lisa Jackson of Foster City, California.; and his grandchildren, Nathan Robertson (Janine), Chris Underhill, Aaron Jackson (Bailey), Jeff Underhill, Jessica Japp (Nathan), Janelle Dinsmore (Dan), Amy Deviney, Greg Underhill and Nick Jackson (Margie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chaney-Reager Funeral Home and Crematory (443 S 2nd St, Sterling, CO 80751). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the 1st Presbyterian Church (130 S 4th St, Sterling, CO 80751). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Leroy Cemetery (7382 Co Rd 71, Fleming, CO 80728).
Memorial contributions may be made in Hollis's name to the First Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund or the J.H. "Doc" Jackson Memorial Room at Northeastern Junior College.
