It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Lura Imel of Cortez, Colorado, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Lois Levina (Proffer) and Noel Cullen Hadley; her husband Robert "Bob" Imel; her children, Shirleyann Imel and Cris Imel; and her siblings, Nelda Hadley, Gayle Sellard and June Brubaker.
She is survived by : her children, Dan Imel of Cortez, Don Imel (Linda) of St. Mary's, Ida, Bonnie Garner of Cortez and Cindy Stephenson (Mike) of Firestone, Colo..
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ertel Funeral Home (42 N Market St, Cortez, CO 81321). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lewis Cemetery (21280 Road W, Lewis, CO 81327).
