He was predeceased by : his parents, Apolonio Garcia and Beatriz Montoya Garcia; his former life partner Rosana Garcia; his wife Ruth "Rita" Garcia; his children, Margie Sandoval, Alex Garcia, Roger Martinez and Billy Martinez; his grandchildren, Shannon Dova Martinez and Demcy Romero, Jr.; and his brother Rubel Garcia.
He is survived by : his children, Eva Arellano (Bernard) of Pueblo, CO, Jerry Garcia of Mora and Jovita Romero (Demcy) of Mora; his great great grandchild Leilani Rose Castillo; his sisters, Mary Jane McNabb of Albuquerque and Jenny Gallegos of Mora; his adoptive son Ronnie Vigil; and his close friend Renee Hedinger. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 30th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 30th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (715 Fourth St, Alamosa, CO 81101). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 30th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the San Luis Valley Cemetery (3762 US-160, Monte Vista, CO 81144).
