It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eleanor Pietsch in Colorado Springs, Colorado, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George DeBilt and Ruth DeBilt (Varnes); her former life partner Alfred Pietsch; her son Gary; her siblings, Margaret Trondson (Carl), Verna Skabo (Lowell), Maridell Linster (Kenneth) and Bill DeBilt; and her brother-in-law Bob Roise.
She is survived by : her sons, Kent (Marney) of Burlington, ND and Warren (Jolene) of Sawyer, ND; her grandchildren, Eric Wald (Nicole) of Norwich, ND, Markita Pietsch of Minot, ND and Logan Pietsch of Minot, ND; her great grandchildren, Matthew, Evie and Owen Wald; her sister Dorothy Roise of Garrison, ND; and her sister-in-law Thelma DeBilt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas Family Funeral Home (304 Main St S, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Congregational United Church of Christ (430 N Broadway, Minot, ND 58703).
Memorials are preferred to the Congregational United Church of Christ or the Dakota Territory Air Museum in memory of Eleanor.
