We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2024, Leo Max Greunke (Denver, Colorado), born in Jefferson City, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his mothers, Dorothea Greunke (Wehrend) of Missouri and Alvina Greunke of Grant; his brother Richard (Virginia Greunke); his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Greunke and Dee Greunke; and his great-nephew Michael.
He is survived by : his wife Anna Lee Greunke (Velte); his nephew Matthew Greunke (Anna Lee Greunke); his son David (Uta); his grandchildren, Mari and Elin Greunke of Denver; his great grandchild LeAnn (Don); his brothers, Carl (Barb Greunke), Martin (Yvonne Greunke) and Alvin Greunke of Aurora; his sisters-in-law, Carol (Harold Tickle) of Alexandria and Louetta (Burle Gengenbach) of Roseville; and also, Scarlett and Donny Sisson of Englewood. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation - Southeast Denver/Aurora (11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 17th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church (11453 E Wesley Ave, Aurora, CO 80014). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery (3698 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80236).
