With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jennie Madrid of Rocky Ford, Colorado, who passed away on February 16, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Rosalio "Charlie" Aparicio and Consolacion Aparicio (Gabaldon); her husband Felipe Madrid; her sons, Richard "Smokey" and Phillip Madrid; and her siblings, Josie Rivera, Nellie Madrid, Crossie Rodriguez, Chris "Sparrow", Waldo and Pete Aparicio.
She is survived by : her children, Eydie McCoy (Marc) of League City, TX, Leonard Madrid (Janine) of Manhattan Beach, CA and Sharon Wadleigh (Mike) of La Junta, CO; her grandson Bryce Wadleigh of Allen, TX; her children, LaNae Pittsenbarger (Bryce) of Greeley, CO, Morgan Wadleigh of Pueblo, CO, Alex Madrid of Manhattan Beach, CA, Chris Madrid of Manhattan Beach, CA and Holly Madrid of Brooklyn, NY; her great grandchildren, Rowen and Leighton Wadleigh of Allen, TX; her grandchildren, Brogan and Maverick Pittsenbarger of Greely, CO; her sisters, Ramona Olivas (Louie Alvillar) and Candy Medrano (Ray); and her siblings-in-law, Emma Stimpfl (Ernie), Lenora Aparicio, Amanda Aparicio, Joe Madrid (Della), Arnie Madrid (Marilyn) and Fred Rivera.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peacock Memorial Chapel (109 E. 4th Street, La Junta, CO 81050). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 22nd 2024 at 6:30 AM at the Rocky Ford Cemetery (27980 Co Rd 20, Rocky Ford, CO 81067).
