We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2024, at the age of 92, James Purdy of Fort Collins, Colorado, born in Lubbock, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Purdy to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Purdy and Narnie Purdy (Coleman); and his brothers, Herbert and Wilbur. He is survived by : his wife Betty Bowen; his children, Cindy Haedt (Stan) of Lindstrom, MN, Tammy Svihel (Tom) of Le Sueur, MN, Michael "Buzz" Purdy of St. James, MN and Linda Harguth (Randy) of Blaine, MN; his grandchildren, Angela, Kim (Jason), Tommy (Liza), Michelle (Scott), Ryan, Jeff (Sarah), Justin (Kristen), Dan and Jon; and his great grandchildren, Zach, Taylor, Morgan, Brynn, Kate, Madison, Kendra, MaKenzie, Lyla and Aria.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (730 S 6th St, Le Sueur, MN 56058). The military honors will be held on Thursday, February 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mound Cemetery.
