With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Johnston of Cortez, Colorado, born in Delta, Colorado, who passed away on February 26, 2024 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Johnston to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Johnston and Julia Johnston; and his wife Pauline Johnston. He is survived by : his children, Marcia Johnston-Walden (Steve) of Golden, Donn Johnston (Vivianne) of Westminster, Mary Beth Acott (Kirk) of Cortez and Ann Valdez (Manny) of Cortez, Colorado; his grandchildren, Amy Johnston, Preston Johnston, Cole Acott and Taggart Valdez; and his step-grandchildren, Aeron Clason (Sean), Kayla Acott (Uriah Hubbard) and Tell Acott.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Cortez (515 N Park St, Cortez, CO 81321). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, March 23rd 2024 at the Cory Cemetery.
