With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Louise Blackman (Grand Junction, Colorado), born in Burley, Idaho, who passed away on April 10, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd E. Cox and Dorothy Cox; her brother Johnny Cox of Burley, ID.; and her stepchild Chris Healy. She is survived by: her brothers, Joseph Cox of Grand Junction, CO and Jimmy Cox (Joyce) of Puyallup, WA.; her husband Gary F. Blackman; and her stepchildren, Connie Lee, Cori Miller, Jay Blackman, Cheri Chavez and Babs Carter. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Gardens (2970 North Ave, Grand Junction, CO 81504). A burial will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at the same location.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Janet's honor to HopeWest Hospice, whose care and compassion were a comfort in her final days.
