He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Newman; his children, Art Jr., Marie Gunther and Mary Kester (Mike); his brothers, Walter and Dave Sharpley; and his grandchildren, Lori Vessels (Colten), Sara Jackson (Jay) and Thomas Kester (Beth). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Garland Cemetery.
