With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cathy Lou (La Junta, Colorado), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 30, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross P. Anderson, Sr. and Amy Hunter Anderson; her brother Ross "Rouk" Anderson, Jr.; her sister-in-law Vera Anderson Essary; and her nephew-in-law Nick Jimenez, Jr..
She is survived by: her nephew Cecil; her nieces, Patricia "Pat" (Jim) and Cindy Anderson; her great-nephews, Robert (Tanya), Lt. James Ward (John), D. Yokosuka, Nick Jimenez (Vennessia), Quentin Jimenez (Katrina) of Northglenn, CO and Colin Anderson of Cheraw, CO.; her caregiver Lorena Esparza; and also, Benjamin Ward (Katie), Nicholas Jimenez, IV, Oliver Jimenez, Jenessa Ward and Violet.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peacock Memorial Chapel (109 E. 4th Street, La Junta, CO 81050). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Peacock Memorial Chapel (109 E. 4th Street, La Junta, CO 81050). A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Arlington Cemetery.
Donations in Cathryn's memory may be made to the activities program at Bent County Health Care, Las Animas, Colorado.
