He was predeceased by: his wife Jean "Binky" O'Connell; and his parents, Daniel O'Connell and Helen O'Connell. He is survived by: his daughters, Patty Mortenson (Neil), Ann Van Portfliet (Kurt) and Sandy Hruby (Dennis); his siblings, Jim O'Connell (Judy) and Joan Ebinger (Mike); his grandchildren, Laura Swenson (Justin), Katie DeFord (David), Michael Van Portfliet (Janelle), Ryan, Kayla Wilson (Jakob) and Danny Hruby; and his great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Ella Swenson, Holly, Palmer Van Portfliet, Harper DeFord and Malakai Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel (10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229). A rosary will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary (11385 Grant Dr, Northglenn, CO 80233).
